Digital Project Managers, Finance Business Partners and REVIT Technicians make the list of the top skill shortfalls for the first half of 2019, according to recruiting experts Hays.
In its latest Hays Jobs Report, covering the January to June 2019 half, Hays reveals the skills that are in greatest demand in 31 sectors and industries.
The Report, which is updated twice a year to reflect changing market conditions, also earmarks risk and compliance, civil construction and data analysis as core areas of demand until June 2019.
“Recruitment activity will remain buoyant during the first half of the year, especially for highly-skilled professionals who perform non-routine tasks that are not subject to automation,” says Nick Deligiannis, Managing Director of Hays in Australia & New Zealand.
“With several major infrastructure projects underway or soon to commence across the country, the resurgence of the resources industry, technological transformations and a widening talent mismatch, the demand for skilled professionals is expected to rise even further over the coming six months.”
According to the Hays Jobs Report, skills in demand for the six months ahead include:
• Accountancy & Finance: Hands-on Finance Managers and Financial Controllers; Finance Business Partners; Senior Auditors and Insolvency professionals.
• Architecture: REVIT Technicians; Landscape Designers; Interior Designers who can lead projects autonomously.
• Banking: Operational Risk & Conduct Risk professionals; Credit Analysts and Credit Assessors who can drive a new culture and embed change; suitably qualified Advisers.
• Construction: Civil Site Engineers, Project Engineers, Estimators and Project Managers; commercial Contract Administrators, Estimators, Site Managers; residential Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Estimators.
• Contact Centres: Customer Service Agents with digital customer engagement experience; Team Leaders and Managers; Real Time Analysts and Workforce Planners.
